Appointed in 2015, Chris Conroy is responsible for overseeing all of ARI’s global operations. He began his career in 1994 in customer service at ARI Canada and has since then held various functions in the US and Canada, where he eventually became SVP and COO.
Prior to his current position, he was Executive Vice President of Global Operations and headed up business operations in Canada, Mexico, the United Kingdom and continental Europe. His area of responsibility included sales, client relations and marketing efforts globally.
Conroy has been a key architect of ARI’s strategy and its expansion into the European market. He led ARI’s most recent strategic planning initiative resulting in a focused approach for growth and service delivery through 2020. His leadership, strategic planning and execution experience are invaluable to the company’s global operations and overall success.
Conroy attended the University of Ottawa and Queen’s School of Business.
Senior Vice President of European Operations, ARI
Mark Bryan is ARI’s Senior Vice President of European Operations and is responsible for overseeing and managing the company’s European businesses. He played a critical role in ARI’s successful expansion into the UK in 2011 and its subsequent expansion into continental Europe in 2013. Bryan has been directly responsible for the integration of the European businesses and has led the way in ensuring that ARI’s unique values, culture and partnership approach have been embraced and adopted.
He continues to lend his experience and his knowledge in support of ARI’s growth throughout the continent. Bryan joined ARI in 2007 as manager of vehicle acquisition. He was promoted to director of call center operations in 2010. In each of these positions, Mark undertook several significant initiatives that resulted in meaningful process improvements, improved efficiency and cost savings. He was promoted to vice president of European integration in 2011. His previous work experience includes serving as vice president and general manager of Miller Truck Leasing Company, and several sales and management positions with Rollins Leasing Corp. He holds a B.S. in Business Administration, Rowan University.
Managing Director Europe
Majk Strika joined ARI in July 2014 as the company’s Director of European Sales. In his time with ARI, he has successfully built a significant foundation of strategic business partnerships that has helped drive ARI’s growth in the market.
A graduate of the University of Augsburg in Germany, Strika has nearly two decades of experience in the fleet management industry working with large, multi-national companies in strategic leadership roles. He is married and has three children.
Director Sales Europe
Schick, an industry veteran with more than 15 years’ experience, also joined ARI in July 2014 as the company’s Director of Strategic Accounts and Supply Chain Management for Europe. In that role, he was responsible for leading the team tasked with working with clients and prospects and for conducting in-depth analyses designed to offer transparency into a fleet’s operations and reduce total cost of ownership (TCO). Schick will continue to be responsible for this team in his new role.
Schick is a graduate of the University of Applied Sciences in Mainz, Germany. He is married and has two children.
Bart Van Rossen
Operations Director Europe
Bart Van Rossen started in November 2013 as Operations Director for the European countries outside of Germany. Before joining ARI Bart has been in several positions in the fleet management business over the last 15 years with Leasing companies as well as Fleet management companies. Going from different Sales roles to managing a leasing and fleet management company locally or at EU level.
Before starting in the fleet industry Bart was an auditor for 2.5 years with KPMG. Through these different roles Bart has developed a wide range of knowledge and experience in the fleet management business.
Bart has a bachelor degree in Business administration and a Bachelor degree in Marketing and Sales.
Head of HR Europe
Since March 2014 Tanja Schmidt works as our Head of Human Resources. She is responsible for all HR topics including staff administration, payroll accounting, recruitment as well as staff – and organization development. In the further strategic orientation of ARI Europe there will be a focus on the staff build-up and the standardization across locations.
Over the last 10 years Schmidt acted in various also international functions for the METRO Group. As the Head of Human Resources of METRO SYSTEMS she was recently responsible for the HR department as well as the internal communication. Schmidt is a diploma businesswoman and lives with her mate in the Ruhr district.
Director IT Europe
Karsten Stoppe started in the subsidiary in 2003. He was responsible for the software developments and the software infrastructure of the own fleet distribution system. In February 2014 he took the sector Information Technology of Europe. Stoppe studied at the university in Coblenz.
With his work in the subsidiary he brings in more than 10 years of experience in the software development and the efficient construction of the heterogeneous IT territory. He is married and has one son.
Director European Client Information Systems / Product Development
Since selling his company netcar24 GmbH to ARI in February 2014, Deuse is responsible for reporting, QA, help desk, product development and the area of customer facing software tools such as ARI Insights® in continental Europe for ARI .
After his vocational training in the VW Group, he went to different commercial areas in a major German steel group and significantly contributed to the extremely positive business performance of the divisions which he was responsible for .
During this time Deuse finished at FH/FS Boppard his business administration degree with state exam.
In 2001 he founded netcar24 . Deuse brings many years of experience in the automotive industry as well as in the areas of process management and in building successful companies to ARI. He is married and has three children.
